Introduction

Segments on the OddBytes Platform represent groups of people with one or more common interests. A segment is created with one or more user-defining attributes and when that segment is applied to Campaign or Creative targeting, only users who match the segment attribute will be eligible targets.

Targeting can be set on the three levels: Account β†’ Campaign β†’ Creative. You can choose whether or not to set Segment targeting as the same or different through the various levels, by selecting Append or Override when making changes.

Available Segments

OddBytes Platform has multiple Segment options to ensure that marketing efforts are targeting the right audience.

  • Campaign/Creative Segment: Create a segment of users who have interacted with a specific Campaign and/or Creative already. This is a great option for ensuring a Campaign is targeting users who have already been served a related Campaign. Alternatively, this option works for ensuring that users who have seen a particular Campaign are not targeted by a similar Campaign.

  • Pixel Segment (Re-targeting): Create a segment of users who have previously converted on a specific conversion event. This option is best if you are looking to block users who have already converted on an offer via your OddBytes pixel but cannot convert again.

    2. Append: This will adjust Segment targeting so that the change will be added to any targeting already applied at the current or at a higher level.

    3. Note: If Segment targeting is not applied to any level, you must still select 'Append' or 'Override' to finalize the edit.
