How To: Add Keywords

Introduction

While logged into your OddBytes account, there are two locations where you can add Keywords: the Manage Creatives tab or the Manage Keywords tab. It does not matter which location Keywords are added from, it's entirely up to your preference.

A Keyword is not restricted to just a singular word. Keywords can include a word, a phrase, a domain or a URL. Examples are:

  • shoes

  • purple shoes

  • shoes.com

  • shoes.com/purple

A Keyword phrase must be eight words or less, and a maximum of 30 characters. The domain suffix (.com, .edu, .org, etc.) is not included in the character count.

Bid Definitions

  • Max Bid: The maximum CPV (Cost per Impression) or CPC (Cost per Click) which OddBytes can charge per Impression or Click.

  • Open. Bid: The suggested bid to set for a Keyword's Max Bid to receive any traffic. An Opening Bid may equal the Minimum Bid if there is little advertiser competition and/or high traffic levels for a Keyword. A Keyword will very likely not receive traffic if the Max Bid is set below the Opening Bid.
