Introduction

In efforts to provide the best ad experience possible to our user base, OddBytes does not allow Creatives to use misleading or deceptive headlines, ad copy or imagery. If a Lightbox or Push Ad is being used as the ad unit, the landing page must also follow the below guidelines. Please check the following to ensure all aspects of your Creative comply to be approved

Guidelines

  • The Creative must present a clear message to the consumer of what the product or offer is, without making any deceptive or unsubstantiated claims.

    • If a Lightbox or Push Ad is being used as the ad unit, the landing page must also follow this messaging guideline.

  • The Creative must contain clear imagery related to the product.

  • The Creative’s imagery cannot be deceptive, misleading or shocking (for example, system warning or exaggerated before/after pictures).

  • The Creative cannot make deceptive or unsubstantiated (“too good to be true”) claims about the product or offer.

  • The Creative cannot use scare tactic messaging to encourage a user action.

  • The Creative cannot guarantee results about a product or offer.

  • The Creative cannot promote the design of a third-party trademark that is not affiliated with the offer.

  • The Creative cannot use misleading tactics; including, but not limited to:

    • fake comments

    • fake social media buttons

    • fake 3rd party or celebrity endorsements

    • fake countdown clocks

    • fake “limited inventory” messaging
