This is a sample page of what the 3D Secure Log in and Enrollment forms should look like. While every financial institution will be a little different, the available fields should stay the same.

For more information please look into American Express SafeKey® page. Also, we recomend you to watch video related to this service.

When prompted, create a new SafeKey password. It will be used for confirming future payments.

  • Personal Message is a text string that will be presented to you on every American Express SafeKey checkout page in the future. It is meant for you to be able to validate that this is a legitimate transaction.

  • SafeKey is your password that you will use to log into the American Express SafeKey service in the future. Some financial institutions will only call it a password.

If a user already has an active American Express SafeKey service, he will only need to confirm payment by entering their password into the form field.

Note: Personal message is shown (“Hi John, it’s safe to buy”) and password confirmation is requested.

After form submitting, you will have created a SafeKey account.
